New and exciting ways to get from Hobart to New Norfolk are being planned by 
Rod Howard from Hobart Ferry and water Taxi Services. Rod presented a marketing plan for the years 2013-14 to the Derwent Valley Council for the October meeting.

With the heritage trail walks, antique shops and Willow Court about to come online as a tourist venture the future is looking bright for New Norfolk. Lets hope that it gets a good hearing.

But please wouldn’t it be good this time something good to happen and it actually does. So many plans in and around us, Piers in Hobart updated, lifts up the mountain, and Oh yes, whats happened to Myers build?
So yes, please, this would be wonderful getting on a water taxi to go to Hobart!!!
The water way on the way up to New Norfolk would be a wonderful experience. You would have to be careful when the speedboats are racing though! We hope it’s a goer for an idea because it would bring those travellers in from Hobart. You could made a real day out of it.

Sorry this service is no longer running. There is a bus service to New Norfolk from Hobart though.
